Stephen's One of a Kind pieces represent a beautiful mix of unique stones that have been collected from all over the world. Every single piece that is created, whether its a bracelet, necklace, earring, pin or pendant, can never be duplicated.

The process begins with Stephen searching all over the world for interesting and unusual stones. The materials that Stephen sources separate him from many semi-precious jewelry designers today. Not only does he enjoy working with more common minerals such as topaz, turquoise, citrine, chalcedony, and pearl, but he also expands his repertoire by utilizing stones like drusy, amazonite, kyanite, jade, and dumortierite. Sometimes he is designing with a particular customer in mind, and sometimes he just enjoys creating with the endless possibilities that await him in his stone room.

Stephen's One of a Kind stone room is not to be believed and can even be quite difficult to describe. It is a room with 4 walls where every square inch is covered in a rainbow of colored stones and bead strands. Beginning with whites on one wall, and ending in variations of black, it takes your eye through the spectrum of color from whites to yellows, pinks to oranges, reds to purples, greens to blues, browns to blacks and truly every color in between. It is a room that generates a powerful synergy between imagination, creativity, and design.

Stones are meticulously chosen from the wall and individually placed onto small boards, representing a necklace, bracelet, etc. From there each stone can be moved or changed in order to produce a desirable end result and product that meets Stephen's approval. Metal color needs to be determined - sterling silver, bronze, or gold - as does metal design - simple bezel, beaded bezel, chain type, etc. At that point, every piece is numbered, priced, and put into production. Individual stones are delicately placed in settings to create a true collectors item and satisfy Stephen's passion for jewelry design. This is where he truly can be as creative as he wants to be!

Stephen does 15-20 Personal Appearances on an annual basis and loves to get acquainted with the woman who collects his treasures. It truly is gratifying for him to meet all of the wonderful customers who have bought his pieces over the years. He travels with an extensive collection of his own personal One of a Kinds that he creates with his assistant in Brooklyn each and every season. It is a fantastic experience to see the myriad of colors on top of the counters when a Personal Appearance is taking place in the store. Also, at all of Stephen's shows, he carefully signs each One of a Kind piece sold with a jewelers engraving pen, adding a personal, individualized touch to every piece.
